The senate today resumed its plenary after its long recess. Senate
President Bukola Saraki, who presided over today's plenary, said the
senators cannot afford any more distractions as they have to now focus
on how to help rescue the nation from its current economic recession.
According to him, Nigerians are not so interested in who brought us here but how are more interested on how to get out of the current challenges.
The senate will tomorrow September 21st begin deliberations on the current economic recession. Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun, Minister of Budget and National Planning Udoma Udo Udoma, Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele and others are expected to appear before the house.
