#ElCholo: The Man That killed Tiki-Taka | @Acidbej

El Cholo has guided Atletico Madrid to the Champions League final once again and the title would be a richly deserved prize for one of the most magnetic coaches in the game.Every team that has managed to eliminate one coached by Pep Guardiola in the Champions League has gone on to win the tournament. That fact endures to this day and Atletico Madrid fans will be praying it is a sign of things to come as they prepare for the 2016 final against Real Madrid.

Guardiola's style of football is oppressive, choking the life out of the opposition. Teams are overwhelmed by it. At its mesmerising best, Pep's football reduces opponents to shadow-chasers, futile in their efforts to stave off an inevitable goal. But the reward for standing tall, for resisting, has always been the glory. Jose Mourinho's Inter, Roberto Di Matteo's Chelsea, Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid and Luis Enrique's Barcelona all withstood what Guardiola's teams had to offer before delivering in the final for good measure.

The Mourinho Myth by @Acidbej

Since the rumours of Jose Mourinho taking over the hot seat at Old Trafford gathered pace in December, several myths have been circling regarding his management style.
The strongest myth being that he does not play or trust youth players. But is this really true? No. Its not. Let's take a look at clubs he has managed and the young players that he handed first team opportunities to:

1. Porto (2002-2004)
Jose Mourinhos time at Porto saw the emergence of players such as Deco, Maniche and Ricardo Carvalho. These players became Portugal internationals while Mourinho was at the helm. While none of the above mentioned players were at the beginning of their careers, the same cannot be said for then 19-year-old Carlos Alberto, who scored the opening goal of the 2004 Champions League final victory. Alberto became the youngest scorer in a European cup final.

#GodForbid: 'Nigeria Faces Recession Risk as GDP Shrinks in First Quarter' - Bloomberg report

A report on international business news website, Bloomberg, claims Nigeria is faced with possible recession as the Nation's GDP shrinked in the first quarter of this year. Read the report below...
"Nigeria’s economy risks falling into recession after it shrank in the first quarter as oil output slumped and the manufacturing, financial and real estate industries declined. Gross domestic product in Africa’s largest economy contracted by 0.36 percent from a year earlier, the Abuja-based National Bureau of Statistics said in an e-mailed statement on Friday.
This compares with growth of 2.11 percent in the previous three months. The median of 17 economist estimates compiled by Bloomberg was for growth of 1.8 percent. The last time the economy contracted was the second quarter of 2004, according to data on the central bank’s website. Falling prices of crude, from which Nigeria derives up to 70 percent of state revenues, have caused the nation’s economic outlook to deteriorate as the government struggles to pay salaries and stimulate growth, forcing it to increase borrowing.

The President will undertake these visits after the Ramadan"he said.

1.     the question many are asking is whether a cheating partner deserves a second chance? #ExpandCapacity

#MinionToSuperhero: Riyad Mahrez journey to greatness.

Riyad Mahrez is one of the players that has catalyzed Leicester City’s unexpected dominance in the Barclays Premier League this season. Let’s have a look at how the Algerian made the leap from French second division to the possible Premier League glory. Mahrez was born in the North of Paris to an Algerian father and a mother of Moroccan descent. Unfortunately, his father suffered a heart attack and passed away when Riyad was only 15 years of age. He contemplated about the incident saying, “I don’t know if I started to be more serious but after the death of my dad things started to go for me. Maybe in my head I wanted it more.” His dedication to the sport and willingness to work hard would take him across France and eventually help his Leicester squad to Premier League history.
In 2004, Riyad Mahrez began his career in the youth club AAS Sarcelles; which was close to where the Algerian was born and had a high number of African based players already in the squad. The team played in the local Ligue de Paris. Mahrez spent nearly 5 years at the club, developing his technical skills and gaining intelligence every step of the way. One of his former team mates, Hayel
