Hello fellas, How has been Ur exams? Hope good and stress free...My exams were good but what happened during the semester was something else! i thought i was falling away from the track of success, i was afraid, i was hopeless but i encouraged myself through the word of God; with what i believed, with what i have heard. i was schooling consciously to the extent that i started feeling i was wasting my time in school. i started to see the faults in Nigeria education, how lecturers behave, the condition of learning, it was frustrating. But to my surprise and glory to God, i ended joyful...in the cause of our discussion i will tell you what happened. Yes, as all this frustrating things were happening, i had to rethink of what was going on, what was wrong? i analyzed it all, this is what i got! the problems we students have concerning academics1.Procrastination: we students are fond of procrastinating things. "i will do it later", "let me rest first" Before we know it another work will come up, and we forget what we wanted to do at first. at the end we compile works we cannot finish: then we become lazy.2.Laziness: this comes from the procrastination of works we are meant to do, the work get many the we tend to ignore them gradually, before we know it we do not do them again.3.Over-activeness:we are students, we still have energy, we want to be active, we want to do practical works, we want to be in positions either in clubs, fellowships, student union body, departments, faculty etc we want to be leaders. All these are very good they will be bad when we forget our primary reason for coming to school, when we also feel tired concerning our academics.4.Sin:sometimes when we sin and ask for forgiveness we think that God will just let us free, NO, we will still get punishment.its just that we do not know the kind of punishment.its a way of correcting(discipline).it is for bringing us to the right path. The punishment can be in our academics, just for a time.Heb 12v 11 Anyway there are several reasons why students do not do well in academics. But as Christians, these few reasons are the mainly the problems in our lives. Now lets move to the some solutions..1.Focus: is the number one thing a person should have.A goal ,students are looking forward to get.A vision a student is seeing always and following.when a student has not gotten what he wants he finds all means to get that thing for himself. For this reason all students must have a focus and follow it strictly; "a journey of miles start with a step" To have a focus, can start by just saying to your self that "i want to know all what i have been taught during the week by the end of the week". it might not be easy but really it helps if strictly followed.Success starts just like that... 2.Discipline: the most important character/trait to have /exhibit.To be discipline "is to do the right things at the right time". Discipline covers all things to success. To be successful, we have to discipline ourself in the way we READ,PLAY,TALK,SPEND (Time,Money). It takes the heart to be disciplined, Guard your heart WELL.3.GOD the most important person to be with.without him we are nothing. "the bible says if GOD does not build the house, the builders labors in vain" so if we say we can be successful without him,we are deceiving ourselves.let us receive our strength from him because the bible says the LORD is our strength.God has everything we need with him...just believe and depend on him.HE IS THE ALMIGHTY. If there are any questions just post it, there are able hands to handle and answer them for you. thanks for reading and GOD bless you. God will lead us to the path of success.
