How 167 round of sex in office destroyed my marriage — Oil worker (A true life story)

I am still confused and could not believe it that my engagement as a staff of Mobil Producing Nigeria will destroy my seven-year old marriage. My relationship that started in form of assistance to my house in the car of a colleague known as Ladi will end up with 167 sexual affairs in the office. I am now regretting my refusal to yield to the advice of my female friends in the office that I should not be carried away with any form of help by Ladi.
When my friends warned me that Ladi is a specialist in sleeping with married women, I told them that mine will teach him a good lesson but now my marriage is gone and he has abandoned me with his baby-boy. My affairs with Ladi started in May 2010, four months after my resumption in office through the help of Lawrence -my husband. He hails from Delta State. I studied Accountancy at Olabisi Onabanjo University and as a member of Deeper Life Ministry, I did not have sex until I married my husband at the age of 27 years. After the marriage, I joined my husband to worship in one of the Pentecostal Churches in Lagos.
I met my husband through the wife of his elder brother who is a Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State. The first thing I noticed about my former husband who is seven years older was the insistence by the elder brother’s wife that I must stay behind so that two of us will know each other. During the period he confessed to me that the former fiancée abandoned him because he refused to have sex with her and will therefore be happy if I am ready to wait until after marriage. Having this type of request at the beginning of the relationship brought joy since I was still a virgin. In order to avoid any mistake, the marriage was concluded within six months. We were both happy.
Even though, he was not a rich guy as a customs officer there was no financial challenges at home. He was everything to me and we enjoyed ourselves despite occasional doubt about negative stories always coming from my friends that there is no customs officer without a mistress.
Therefore, when there was no issue within the first two years, I became uncomfortable and that was how both of us joined Winners Chapel where God answered our prayers. Towards the end of the third year of our marriage, I gave birth to a baby-boy and by that time my husband had increased his knowledge in the words of God. His concept about life changed and then he apologised for not allowing me to take a paid-job initially.
Through the help of the Delta State Governor, his elder brother secured a job for me in Mobil. At the beginning of the fourth year of our marriage, then came Ladi who would always disturb me in the office with sweet words and my friends will tell me, ‘Funke stay away from Ladi’. Thereafter, my husband was granted study leave by the Nigeria Customs Service for his Masters Degree in California, United States and I was left alone with my son in our beautiful rented apartment at Alagomeji-Yaba.
As I was preparing to close from work on a Thursday evening, rain started around 5pm, then he suggested that I should leave my Toyota Sienna car in the office till the next day because of the heavy traffic and offered to drop me in my house at Yaba. However, on top of the third Mainland bridge, he drove towards Oworonshoki instead of driving towards Adekunle end of the bridge. He told me that this will help us to drive against the traffic since the traffic on Oworonshoki road was light. Again, instead of coming down at Anthony, he drove towards Maryland and then branched to Protea where he suggested that we should take pepper soup because of cold from the heavy rain. When we settled down near the swimming pool, he said he was uncomfortable because both of us are popular figure. He suggested that we should move to a private location inside the hotel as a public figure. That was the last thing, I could understand because by the time I realised myself, I found myself in his arms playing with every part of my body and his hands tickling my private part. We made love several times that night, then he took me home. In the midnight, I regretted my action, then I called my husband on phone and told him that I was raped by Ladi. I told him everything and then he told me on phone later that Ladi confirmed that I was the person on his neck and that the love made was with the consent of the two of us.
Even though, my husband believed me, he left the US to Nigeria the third day. On that same day in my office, the rain started again and both of us agreed to stay in the office because of the heavy flood. Even though I was eager to go home and meet my husband due to arrive that night, Ladi had sex with me in his office because almost everybody had left office and his office is not in the open space. He dropped me in my house again and few minutes later my husband arrived.
My husband suggested that we should contact a legal expert if I am ready to resign. Sincerely, I love my work and found that Ladi was better on bed than my husband. I became reluctant and we ended the discussion about the legal issue until he left for the US . However, the wife of his elder brother became disturbed and I snubbed her each time she tried to find out why I have not been coming to see her. Then, her mother also called me at a time that she would like to settle the quarrel between me and my husband, I also shunned her invitation.
After the departure of my husband for the US , our love making became a regular affair both in the office and in his own house at Mende in Maryland. I became so sympathetic to Ladi, when he told me that his wife left him with his two children because he stayed away from having sex regularly with her because of the pressure of the work in the office. In response, I always make myself available to him whenever he arose my feelings and he suggested that I should divorce my husband since we work in the same company and we can monitor each other very well.
As a result of the relationship with Ladi becoming more and more close everyday, I stopped calling my husband and by the time he returned to Nigeria , I found myself pregnant for Ladi. My husband relocated from Yaba to Ikoyi with me and asked me to apologise to his mother and wife of the elder brother for my rude attitude but I refused. Two weeks later my husband found a laptop belonging to Ladi with me and when he asked me, I told him that he forgot it in my car. It was a weekend and I left my house to drop the laptop in Ladi’s house and again we made love for four hours and my husband called me more than 40 times but my phones were on silent mode. When I returned home, there was trouble at home and I threatened to move out of the matrimonial home.
Within two days, I moved out and secured a good apartment at Lekki with the help of an estate agent. By that time, we had recorded over 167 cases of love making in his office and the toilet of his office. Towards the end of the week, Ladi received transfer letter to work in Qatar. And from that time, he stopped me from coming to his house. So, the day he left Nigeria for Doha , he refused to allow me to see him off to the airport on the grounds that he was in a hurry. While in Doha, the mode of communication changed and restricted mainly to e-mails. Now, Ladi has left Mobil for Petronas and changed his email address and phone number. I have delivered a baby-boy for Ladi without Ladi to congratulate me. My husband has also found a new love in a 21-year old girl who is a graduate of Crescent University from Ijebu-Igbo, my home town. Lawrence should forgive me, I need him in my life again.
