The atmosphere is tense and likewise people are miffed; it’s a period when the country is rocked with terrorism and the kidnap of our girls by the Boko Haram’s. We are still clothed in black mourning the Nyanya blast victims not forgetting and sympathizing with our mothers. I feel the grieve of mothers; the joys of motherhood has been overshadowed with kidnap of our girls and the crocodile tears of our Mother, her Excellency…there is God ooo.

In this state of grieve and sorrowful state of our country however, Obafemi Awolowo University’s Management has gone mad by boko haram-lizing our education. It is very obvious they want to truncate the future of our brothers, the unborn Generation of this great Institution likewise some of us stalites. And we stand to say NO! Because this same people that benefited from the free-Education legacy of Awolowo have decided to strangulate us with exuberant hike in fee without reasonable justification. They have clothed themselves in the garment of Boko haram!!! Saying No to education for the Masses!

A developing country that has so far been a shadow of herself. Like the saying "No Nation can be greater than is allowed by its educational system at all levels" has decided to further remain at the back peddle by increasing illiteracy . Bamitale Omole led administration has decided to Implement the Agenda's of Boko Haram without carrying Arms.

It is so unfortunate in this same institution that historical catered for students by subsidizing meals, providing free laundry and basic amenities such as electric fans, sleeping mattress and many others wants to be an albatross to the building of leaders of Tomorrow. It is on paper that this school made and moulded the likes of Tony Fash, Bamidele Aturu, Femi Falana, Olusegun Mimiko, LAGBAJA and Abike Dabiri amongst others. It should be noted that this institution has at a point in time changed the fortunes of a peasant farmer, the Tomato sellers on the street by enabling them send their wards to gain the knowledge which they could not acquire during their time.

It is noteworthy to commend the leadership of the student Union for swiftly moving into action by not following the conventional way that once ridiculed the Vibrant-ness and consciousness of the Great Ife students and engaging the school authority in constructive negotiation which the management ridiculed by saying No to Peaceful Negotiation "we are ready to Shutdown the School."

Meanwhile, we are not oblivious of the tactics of the management because time is a constraint…Authoritatively, we invoke the Ever-Ta-tan Spirit of OAU on the Omole/ Jonathan Administration. we state that they might have the Crackers, the Police, the E-portal, batons…we have the people, Social Media, Press, Drums, our legs, hands and Voice to register it in posterity that we stood our grounds saying NOooo to outrageous Increment! We declare a Total Paralysis in IFE today.
