#Hmmmmm: Kano State Govt Trying to Defend Released Video

The Kano state governor has released a video pointing out discrepancies in the purported video of the state governor, Umar Ganduje, allegedly receiving bribes from state contractors.
According to the media aide to the governor, Tanko Yakasai, the viral video did not indicate when the recording started and also has two dates with claims that he received bribes on the same day wearing the same outfit. Watch the video below

#DaddyPleaseDontGo: PDP begs Governor Fayose not to leave the party

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has appealed to Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, not to consider leaving the party. Recall that Governor Fayose yesterday hinted he was planning on leaving the party following the outcome of the party's just concluded presidential primaries.
Speaking with newsmen in Ado-Ekiti the state capital, Governor Fayose alleged that the plot to sideline him and other leaders of the party was as a result of their support for Governor Aminu Tambuwa’s ambition.
#AHHHHH: Governor Fayose threatens to quit PDP
The outgoing Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has threatened to quit PDP.
His threat to defect from the party comes a day after the party's National Convention which saw the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as its presidential flagbearer, took place in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.
In a chat with Punch today, Governor Fayose said he would renounce his “membership of the PDP anytime from now. After consultations, I will speak clearly to Nigerians.”

PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, says come February 14th 2019 when the presidential election will hold, and Nigerians will have to choose between him “a job provider” and Buhari whom he described as a “lifeless candidate.”.
In a statement released by his media office yesterday, Atiku said he is not surprised by the claims by the Buhari campaign organization that he is a corrupt politician that has a plethora of corruption charges he is yet to clear.

Hima Airrykah is of the opinion that a majority of Nigerians lack political awareness and, as a result, fail to cast their vote, then end up complaining that votes were rigged.

The presidency has denied claims President Buhari ordered Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to deal decisively with Senator Shehu Sani, who over time has been very critical of the his administration. Governor El-Rufai and Senator Shehu Sani have had open spats over the political situation in the country and their home state, Kaduna.
There were claims on social media of president Buhari writing a letter to Governor El-Rufai authorizing him to deal decisively with senator Sani and ensuring he fails to secure a return ticket to the senate in 2019,
The Presidency in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu today, specifically said that there was no time President Buhari wrote a letter or directed El-Rufai to discipline Senator Shehu Sani for allegedly being disloyal or a traitor to the party. Nigeria may remain world's poverty capital, says Emir of Kano
The Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II, has said that if proactive steps are not taken, Nigeria may still remain the poverty capital of the world for many years to come.
The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) said this after his induction as an honorary member of the Sigma Club of the University of Ibadan (UI) at the weekend. He said that unless the country’s leaders get their priorities right and address critical issues that affect human development, many countries of the world would leave Nigeria behind.
