Ways of REVIEWING the year 2015

We have entered a new week of 2016. The best way to use it, in my opinion, is to review your year 2015 and prepare yourself for this new year. That way you will have a great start in 2016.
Here are five ways to review your year:
1. Review your life map.
Your life map contains the big picture of your life. It can help you see the overall direction of your life.
Check how your life has been throughout the years including 2015. Is your life moving in the right direction? Did you get distracted along the way? How would you project your life’s direction into 2016?

30 Creative Ways to Increase your Mental Capacity

Its a new year, it is important to find ways to increase your productivity this new year and to increase productivity we must increase capacity.
If you want to grow in life, increasing your mental capacity is a must. By increasing your mental capacity, you will be able to handle more things and assume larger responsibilities.
It’s just like your physical capability to lift heavier and heavier weight in weight training. People with greater physical capability will be able to lift heavier weight effortlessly while those with less capability will tire themselves out or even not be able to lift it at all. So just like you should train your muscles to increase your physical capability, you should also train your “mental muscles” to increase your mental capacity.
streamingBut how should you do that? How should you train your mental muscles to increase your mental capacity? I believe the answer is similar to the way you increase your physical capability in weight training.

HAPPY NEW YEAR GREAT PEOPLE

You will be a testimony of God's greatness. God will use you to show that He is the I Am that I Am. This will be a year of breakthrough. No weapon fashioned against you will prosper. Your enemies will fall at your feet. God will keep you safe from all evil. No deaths will visit your family in 2016.

Something great, miraculous, and breath-taking will happen in your life in 2016. God has promised you that and it will happen. May this year be the beginning of the best years of your life and may all your hearts desires be met. 2016 will be filled with testimony for you and yours. He will turn your passion into a goldmine. May everything you touch turn to gold. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

He Did it to me!! Please Advise!

On a bright hot Thursday afternoon after my final exam, I got home so drained and sweaty. No thanks to the friends whom I spent some of my Tfare with to celebrate our last paper. So we had to trek some distance to get home. All I wanted was to have a cold long shower.

Getting home to meet my dad was surprising and uncool because I thought to myself “Ooo this man is gonna disturb my planned long afternoon sleep today”. I greeted him smiling “Good afternoon dad, why are you home so early today?” He smiled back and replied “I just decided to come home to rest” I hurriedly said “okay” and left his presence so he won’t send me to do anything. All I wanted was to take my bath and sleep.

#CareerPlanning: Action Plan for each year at university

Second Year
This is a vital year for developing career plans and for testing them out through work experience to make sure that they are right for you. If you spend time on this during your second year it will save you a lot of work during your final year.
  • KEEP DEVELOPING YOUR SKILLS- Students who get involved in clubs and societies or hold posts within the Students Union have lots of opportunities to use communication, negotiating and similar skills which are valuable ammunition for your CV. This will also help you to complete competency-based application forms for internships and graduate jobs.
  • RESEARCH YOUR CAREER OPTIONS. This web site is a good starting point for this espcially our I Want to Work in ... pages. Also use www.prospects.ac.uk
  • ATTEND CAREERS AND EMPLOYABILITY SERVICE EVENTS. We put on a variety of talks each term and these are a good way of starting your career planning.
  • WORK HARD TO GET A GOOD DEGREE. Many large organisations require an Upper Second Class Honors degree (2:1) which normally equates to about a 60% overall mark, so it pays you to work hard academically to try to achieve this. If you are applying for jobs during your final year, employers will normally ask for a predicted degree class – the results of your second-year exams and assessments will be used as evidence to support your prediction.

#CareerPlanning: Action Plan for each year at university

CAreer planning flowchart for students

Don’t leave it until your final year to start thinking about your future career! You can do many things during your time at university to improve your chances of successfully entering the career or postgraduate study of your choice.

The timings noted relate to opportunities in career areas which are normally open to graduates in any subject. This list does not include deadlines which are specific to students in a particular subject, such as deadlines for clinical psychology or vocational law courses: check the “What Can I Do With My Degree In … ?” Pages for this information, or see the careers adviser for your subject.

Dates given are approximate and may vary: so always check the current situation. The Careers and Employability Service makes every effort to ensure that the information on our site is accurate but it is your responsibility to verify the information given before taking any action.
