Donald Duke wins SDP presidential ticket
Former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, has emerged as Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the 2019 general election.  

He polled 812 votes to defeat his close rival, former Minister of Information, Prof. Jerry Gana, who polled 611 votes at the party’s National Convention held at Old Parade Ground, Abuja.

Ogun APC produces 2 governorship candidates

Two governorship candidates have emerged in the Ogun state APC governorship following two parallel primaries that held on Wednesday October 3rd.
While the state chairman of the party, Derin Adebiyi declared House of Representatives member and husband of former MBGN Chinenye Ochuba, Adekunle Akinlade as the winner of one of the primaries, the electoral panel sent by the National Working Committee of the party, declared oil mogul, Prince Dapo Abiodun the winner of their own primary.

Yesterday, Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, had a state broadcast in which he reacted to the controversial APC governorship primary held in the state on Tuesday October 2nd.

In his speech, Governor Ambode conceded defeat in the primary which was contested by himself and his main rival Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Ambode congratulated Sanwo-Olu and urged all the party members to give the party flagbearer all the support he deserves to win the election in 2019.

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo made a mockery of PDP’s governorship candidate in the recently concluded Osun state gubernatorial election, Senator Ademola Adeleke, and fellow party member, Senator Dino Malaye, during his speech at the Independence Gala night held at the Banquet hall of the Presidential Villa.

Fresh reports from the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Cyril Abeye Ogodo indicates that the party has expelled Ovie Omo-Agege, the senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly and factional senatorial candidate in the 2019 general election.  

Rising from an emergency meeting of the State Working Committee (SWC ) in Asaba on Wednesday, the party said its decision to expel Omo Agege from the party followed his “unabated involvement in anti-party activities”.
